In January 2014, Derek Carlson launched MVP Realty with about $500. No employees. No office. No Realtors. All he had was a vision of what he wanted in a real estate firm with experience and a strong work ethic. It wasn’t easy. He was trying to penetrate one of the most sophisticated real estate markets in the country where many of his competitors have been in business for 25+ years or more. That first year, Derek wore many hats. He was the Owner, Operational Manager, Broker, Support Administrator, Recruiter, Marketing Specialist, Bookkeeper, IT Manager, Web Site Developer, Systems Analyst and literally every role in the company. He was nervous when he launched.
Gradually real estate agents took notice of the innovative real estate company Derek created and joined his brokerage. Today, MVP Realty has 16 offices with over 800 real estate agents selling over $1 Billion of real estate annually.
